The East Bay has an array of highly touted public, private, and charter schools, each offering unique opportunities for students, and these sought after schools certainly play a factor in why housing is at a premium. While the East Bay has many fantastic public schools, our region boasts an impressive list of highly regarded private schools.

One of the positive aspects of choosing a private school in a hot real estate market is the freedom to find a home anywhere in the East Bay, as the schools are not district/neighborhood specific.

When considering moving into the East Bay and looking for top notch education at one of the private schools, while also looking for an available home, keep in mind that each school has an admissions process that can start as early as now, in January, for the fall.

Unlike other areas of the country, where timing for admissions and purchasing a home within close proximity to your chosen school, within a certain time frame, are relatively easy, it can be a challenge right now in the East Bay, as we continue to deal with a lack of available homes on the market.

Our Realtors are highly knowledgeable about the local schools (both public and private)  and can work with you on choosing a home in an area that will complement your ideal school choice, but also in understanding the market dynamics to work with you on timing and alternative solutions. Patience is key in this market as you work on marrying your goals for a great neighborhood AND an excellent education for your children.

Below are links to the private schools in the East Bay. (We did some additional research into enrollment on the local private high schools and included helpful notes for you.)
