After 20 years in the furniture industry and designing interiors for upper-end homes in Scottsdale and California, it seemed like a natural progression for me to move into the realm of Real Estate. Though not born here I consider myself a native after over 35 years in this place I call home. You can't beat the Northern California lifestyle, and the East Bay can certainly boast about its architecture, restaurants, museums, diverse neighborhoods, sports teams, waterfront, and places of higher learning. Our views are spectacular as we look towards the cityscape of San Francisco, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Mt. Tamalpais and our glistening bay. With my past experience in photography & interiors it has given me a strong foundation in the visual arts and business concepts. My passion for traveling, meeting new people and seeking adventure keeps me motivated to do the best for myself and others.

For Sellers…When listing your home I will present your property in the most ideal way to attract the most online buyers. I will listen and identify your needs, prepare a marketing plan and exceed your expectations. I will keep you on the timeline because the first 2 weeks on the market are the most critical. When it’s time to review offers I will help you understand that sometimes the highest offer may not be the strongest offer. My relationships with other local realtors, lenders, inspectors and title companies strengthens my ability to close the transaction in a smooth and successful manor. For me when it comes to selling your home, it is all about the relationship we form and making a connection that lasts.

For Buyers… Many buyers get excited when starting out and run out on the weekends to view properties. Before spending time doing this know your financial limits. Find a qualified & known local lender to guide you through the lending steps. While you may qualify for $800K you may feel more comfortable purchasing at $700K. In our bay area market you may want to start your search at $600K in order to over bid when making an offer. Your lender will supply pre-approval letters and you will need to show “proof of funds” to your realtor to attach to an offer. We will also show you a comparative analysis of a home you may want to bid on to understand where you need to be to win in the offer process. Overall, I tell buyers that you must be flexible. If a home has mostly what you hoped for then go for it. If it needs some work, be willing to get it done over time. Voila, your offer is accepted and your home!

At first I didn't think she would like walking around some of the shady neighborhoods that I could afford to buy a house in, but she showed up before me every time, and was ready to go or already talking to owners, other agents and neighbors trying to find more information. I ended up not needing to go to one of these shady neighborhoods because Mala worked with my loan agent to help me look into sweeter options that I was unaware of and I ended up comfortably getting a better house in a better neighborhood that I could still afford.
